Love Godiva's Easter packaging all designed by illustrator Lisa DeJohn. Doubt I would be able to tear through this packaging... even for chocolate.

bold+noble
I came across Bold&Noble while killing to much time on Etsy. Love, love the Noah's Ark print and the growth chart. Made in England on recycled card stock with a sweet price. Too cute for a little bambino's nursery.

bike made beautiful
How could you not love this bike basket??
Designed by Design House Stockholm, the Carrie Bicycle Basket is only $50, and well worth the addition. It can also be detached and used as a shopping basket or house books and toys. Functionality at it's best.

planters
When my Mom and I were in Seattle last year we happened to walk into a really cool store called Velocity, we fell in love with the brightly colored Global GroBal. And of course Target does it again, the self watering pots are now being sold in their stores. They are so fun, such a great gift, and would brighten up a dull window sill in seconds.
Sidenote: A bit of old news but Orla Kiley has a Target line! She is the designers of my very large colored leaf bag that shows up in many pictures. (And yes, with our warmer weather we have been having in NY that bag is out and about again!)
Also, being a big fan of etsy, I love what Monkeys Always Look have created with vintage mugs, tea cups, and creamers.

alterative art
Artwork can get expensive! Especially if you are trying to fill a large space.
I love these easy ideas...
fabric stretched over a canvas
painting the window molding frames your outdoor view
framed wallpaper
Other ideas:
tearing pages out of an art book from the Bargain section at the bookstore
framing an unusual piece of wrapping paper
painting an over-sized canvas a bright color
wall stickers like those from Fern
hang an empty, glassless frame

apple of my eye
If you are reading this first post it is probably because you have read One Way Ticket, my somewhat failed and blasé attempt to keep my favorite Texans up.to.date. with my latest adventures as a new New Yorker.
I hate to say this, but here goes. I was bored. So bored with the lack of uninteresting posts I was subjecting my friends and family to reading. And while I completely plan on updating the blog as I see fit, I needed a new outlet.
If you know me at all, you know I love, love design. I am by no means a designer, but I would go as far to say I have a good eye for it. The way a room is arranged cause butterflies to flutter around my tummy. Risky color combination can bring a smile to my face. A quirky painting makes my eyes twinkle...
So welcome to {dailydose}! With plans to inspire you, lure you, and to introduce you the latest and greatest world of design.
